A process analyst must have detailed knowledge of the process itself, from the beginning of a claim to the appeal process and process. Some of this information can be gleaned from the work itself, but a paralegal`s certificate can convey much of the required knowledge. Paralegal certification programs are 2-year programs, usually at a community college. Programs lead to an associate`s degree. Paralegals do not practice law, but they often do anything else to help a lawyer. A paralegal can schedule meetings and court dates, summarize documents and make witness statements, collect and manage documents in large document cases. A paralegal can prepare simple briefs and forms, conduct simple legal research, and help a lawyer prepare for court proceedings, mediation, or arbitration. A paralegal is a professional legal support position. Unlike a litigation analyst position, paralegals work in all aspects of the law and often specialize in a specific area such as family law, estates, litigation or bankruptcy. The Department of Justice offers experienced lawyers a wide range of opportunities to work on many important and complex issues facing our country. Our lawyers are active in almost all areas of legal practice. Paralegal certification programs are typically two-year programs and are available at most community colleges and some private colleges. Some employers require a bachelor`s degree.

In addition, professional certification is available through various national associations such as NAS, which offers a one-day exam for paralegal professional certification, available to students pursuing a CAA-approved legal education program or to individuals with at least 5 years of experience as a paralegal. Some employers require a lawyer`s lawyer`s certificate. This certificate is typically earned upon completion of a two-year associate degree in paralegal studies. Some employers offer on-the-job training, often for a candidate who has earned a bachelor`s degree. For example, an employer may hire a legal assistant with a degree in business administration if they prepare estate accounting as part of their normal practice. A medical malpractice company may hire someone with experience in health administration to read and decipher medical records.
